Location
Calafell is situated at the Costa Dorada, in the province of Tarragona. It is surrounded by a splendid nature and can be divided into three parts: the old town and its medieval castle, the area Segur de Calafell - the outskirt of Calafell, and the beach of Calafell along the Costa Dorada. Calafell has everthing to offer to tourist. There are the mountains, the valleys and most important the beach at the Costa Dorada. The beach has about 5 kilometers of fine sandy space and cristal clear water. In the old part of Calafell you can stroll around the city with its little shops, restaurants and bars. The castle built in the middle ages is the heart of the old part of Calafell. Already the romans realised the advantage Calafell had due to its ideal location. They constructed the city Vilarenc whichs ruins can still be visited. Calafell has a mild climate. All over the year there are different Fiestas and a stay in Calafell is for sure not boring.
